Product Description:

Asbestos packing is a high-temperature sealing and insulating material made from asbestos fibers woven into various forms like square or braided configurations. Known for its excellent heat resistance, chemical stability, and durability, asbestos packing is traditionally used in high-temperature and high-pressure applications such as sealing valves, pumps, and flanges in industrial environments. Despite its performance advantages, asbestos usage has significantly declined due to health risks, and safer alternatives are now available.

Material:

• Type: Woven asbestos fiber (with graphite, PTFE, or lubricants as additional coatings)
• Color: White, Grey, or Black (depending on coating)
• Reinforcement: Can be reinforced with metal wires (stainless steel or brass) for added strength
• Temperature Range: Up to 500°C (932°F) for dry applications, and up to 350°C (662°F) in wet conditions
• Pressure Rating: Up to 100 bar (1,450 psi)

• Fire Resistance: Non-combustible, capable of withstanding direct flame contact
